I’ve been changed ~ P&W: Karen Clark Sheard

Not “I’ve changed” but rather “I’ve been changed.”  You know, a lot of times we like to take all the credit for becoming better people, becoming better Christians, when in actuality if left up to all our efforts, we would fall waaay short.  Thank God for his unconditional love and his longsuffering with us.  Because of HIS power, whatever changes need to be made in our lives, no matter how daunting or impossible they may seem, He can and He will help us to change.

You ask the reason why I sing…cuz I found JOY ~ P&W: Coko

Happy Sabbath Everyone!

Just making a quick post as I get ready for church out here in the midwest 🙂

It’s funny how much I can relate to this song, and I’m sure many of you out there can relate.  A lot of people tell me that I’m always super happy/optimistic and always smiling.  And honestly, the only reason why is because I know my Heavenly Father is in control of ALL things.  I don’t need to worry about ANYTHING!  I just have to continue obeying, loving, and trusting Him as I continue to do my best for Him, and He will take care of it all.

So take a listen to this song from Coko (yup, the same one from SWV back in the day.  Didn’t know she went Gospel?  Shame on you…smh lol), and ask God to give you that joy and peace that passes all understanding.

Love and God Bless,

This is the stuff that drives me crazy ~ P&W: Francesca Battistelli

Everytime I hear this song it makes me smile simply because I know so many of us can relate.  Sometimes we get so caught up in little things that go wrong that we forget just how much God has blessed us in abundance.  Next time you think you’ve lost your watch or are running late, remember it’s really not the end of the world.  You’re alive, you got food and shelter, most of us have jobs.

Remember just how blessed you are!

Love and God Bless,

What if there’s a bigger picture? ~ P&W: Matthew West

You know…lately I’ve really been thinking:  What am I really doing to SERVE?  Seriously, sometimes I feel like I’m one of the most selfish people, because with all the resources I have, I’m not doing nearly enough to help those around me with what they need.  Yes, I know, I’m very good at being a nice person.  And I guess in some way that’s serving:  meeting others’ emotional needs by sometimes just sharing a smile, or lending a helping hand without being asked.  But c’mon.  For real, as much as the world could use more nice, caring people, the world could probably use more food, clothing, and shelter as well.

I recently heard this song by Matthew West on the radio and it really made an impact on me.  I pray that on this Sabbath, you will listen to these words and think about how you can be more selfless and help to meet the needs of others in your own little way.  Not sure how?  Pray about it.  God will reveal to you what gifts of service He’s given to you, as long as you are willing to actually serve.

Love and God Bless,
