Ode to The Feisty House #48: Lace at Camp Meeting

When the summer time comes around, for the SDA world, this means Camp Meeting time is in full effect!

So far I’ve been to camp meeting for two different conferences since I’m in a new location.

On this particular weekend when I took these pictures it was HOT! Hot, humid, and STICKY.  So I’m glad that I wore this light dress….

White lace dress – Forever21 // Belt – Charlotte Russe // Sandals – Charlotte Russe

I also got my hair relaxed that weekend too!  4 month+ Stretch successfully completed!  🙂

I really enjoyed being able to see my family and friends that weekend since they came up for the occasion.

I really hope I can get a tripod for my birthday because I’m running out of people to take pics for my Ode to The Feisty House posts 😦  Keep that in prayer peeps! lol

Until next time….

Ode to The Feisty House #45: Dr. & Mrs. Campbell Nashville Wedding!

As I stated before, earlier this month I had the IMMENSE pleasure of attending the wedding of two of my really good friends down in Nashville, TN.  The ceremony was beautiful, the bride was gorgeous, the groom looked sharp, the food was great!  It was just an all around good time!

Here’s what I wore to the wedding 🙂

Ode to The Feisty House #44: Cheetahlicious!

Did any of you guys read The Cheetah Girls series when you were younger or watch the Disney Channel original movies??? OMG! I was sooo obsessed back in the day! lol.  One of the things they would always say when they thought something was fierce was “Cheetahlicious!”  And that’s how I feel about this maxi dress in the pics below…plus…it’s animal print lol.

Animal print Maxi Dress – Forever21

I absolutely LOOOVE this dress! I’m super short but I don’t even care…it’s easy, breezy, and beautiful! lol.

Simple post, but I hope you guys like it 🙂

Until next time…

Ode to The Feisty House #43: Bright Sunshiny Day!

I recently had the GREAT pleasure of going to Nashville, TN for the first time to celebrate the nuptials of two of my friends there (stay tuned to see what I wore to the actual wedding 🙂 ).

That Sabbath we all attended service at the groom’s home church, Riverside Chapel SDA and had a really great time.

You guys will probably recognize this dress from my River Island haul

Dress – River Island
Purple suede platform pumps – Bakers (my very first Bakers purchase!)

S/O to my friends for obliging me in taking pics for the blog over the weekend! lol

Til next post…

Ode to The Feisty House #42: Styled by Nicci & Janes

Over the weekend I attended one of my BEST friend’s Med School graduation party!  S/O to Dr. Pierre U. Etienne!  It was such a nice celebration and I was honored to be a part of it and I think it was lovely that he and his sister were able to celebrate their graduations together! It was really sweet 🙂

The day of the event however, I decided to change what I had planned to wear because I realized…it was gonna be a pretty fancy event! lol I pulled this FABULOUS skirt from my closet (also seen in THIS POST) but then…I had a brain fart trying to figure out what to wear with it…lol

I really hate dressing under pressure lol. I like to have my outfits planned way in advance.  So I reached out to my fashion fairy godmommies Nicci & Janes to help me figure out what to wear with this.  They both have very unique senses of style that I love oh so much!

Nicci’s suggestion:  Black & White striped short sleeve button down with ruffles ; avoid a loud color
Janes’ suggeston:  White v-neck, denim shirt, or striped shirt with wedges

So…I kinda took both of their suggestions and came up with something that was me….and also in my closet lol.

Hope you guys enjoy the look!

Sheer sleeveless ruffled top – Forever21 (actually seen previously worn HERE)
Floral tulip skirt – H&M
Gold Shroom belt – The GoldDiggers
Nude peep-toe pumps – 5-7-9

I knew when I first saw this skirt in H&M that I had to have it! It’s such a pretty piece and perfect for any going out/fancy occasion.  Definitely got a lot of compliments on it last night as well, which is always nice 🙂

Thanks for your help Fashion Fairy godmommies! 🙂

And congratulations Pierre!  We made it homie! 🙂
