Now that we’re kinda halfway through summer, I figured I’d share some of my favorite songs that I’ve been really enjoying jamming to while riding around with my sunroof open.  Last year’s Summer Playlist STILL goes hard!  But if you’d like to see what I’ve been rocking to as of late, check out my favorite summer jams in the playlist below!  Enjoy!

What songs have you been dancing to this summer?  I’d love to hear them so comment down below!

Until next time…

Music // My Favorite Summer Jams

You guys…WHERE is 2014 going?!?! Today is already the first day of fall (BOOOOO!) Okay okay…I don’t REALLY hate fall. I just absolutely love summer and completely detest winter.  Fall is just the middle child that reminds me that awful winter is coming….smh.

But in order to feel a little bit better…I though I’d reminisce about some of my favorite songs of the summer. The songs that every time I hear them on the radio all I can say is “YAAAASSSS!!!” and start dancing in the driver’s seat lol

Sooooo….here we go 🙂

Happy Fall! 🙂

(P.S. I promise to announce the winner of the giveaway soon!  Life has taken over as of late for very good reason and I haven’t been able to dedicate as much time to the blog….but I promise I haven’t forgotten!)

Love and God Bless,

IGspiration // The Heart of Worship

I posted this picture on Instagram over the weekend and shared a testimony that is still being written…see below…

This picture right here is a visual testimony and here’s why. When I first moved to PA, I struggled with finding my place in serving and ministering in a new environment. In fact, I struggled with whether I wanted to be involved with ministry at all. Back in the DMV I was involved in pretty much EVERYTHING at my home church and had begun to feel very burned out. But over the past 2 years here in PA, I have been blessed to have the humbling privilege to serve musically…and sing many a new song unto the Lord as the amazing team and I usher the comgregation into a state of worship. Tonight I am reminded that God places you where He knows you can serve. There’s no use running or hiding. Embrace how and where you can be used by Him to reach others. He can always use you, no matter who or where you are. #NoteToSelf…. #HappySabbath

I’m so glad that God has continued to allow me to serve Him even right where I am.  No matter where life takes me in the future (yeah…my life will definitely be changing in the next 6 months…Pray church…), I pray that I will never lose sight of who and whose I am and always possess a heart of worship.

Oh yeah….decided to share some notes with y’all… 🙂

Love and God Bless,

– T

Out & About // Capital Jazz Fest

Well I must say….I’m very proud of myself for sticking to my promise to go out more and enjoy life and soooo grateful to the people that have been helping me do that as well!

Over the weekend, I was able to attend my first music festival!!! I absolutely love music and Jazz is one of my favorite genres.  So having the opportunity to attend Capital Jazz Fest and hear and see some of my favorite artists (like Marcus Johnson, Keiko Matsui, Kem, the O’Jays, Faith Evans, Joe, and MORE) perform live on stage was AH. MAY. ZING!  Kem is such an AWESOME live performer!  I’d definitely love to go see him perform live again.  I absolutely LOVE his music! He’s pretty much the reason I wanted to attend the Jazz Fest so badly lol.

It was a REALLY hot day and I got an amazing tan!  But my feet look a little weird because the sandals I wore caused me to kinda get some weird tan lines but *shrug*, there’s more sun to bathe in for the rest of the summer!

I absolutely love this tribal print crop top!  I randomly found it one day while perusing the aisles of Target….surprise surprise lol.  It was on a random clearance rack and it immediately caught my eye and I knew I had to have it!  The possibilities with this bad boy and high waisted maxi skirts, high waisted pants/shorts, high waisted everythang! lol   I paired it with my favorite flared-out jacquard print mini skirt from Zara and my favorite black sandals from Top Shop (and….side note:  Ummm….how did no one tell me that there’s a Top Shop DC in the works?!?! I thought you were my people! lol)

It was such a great day!  Great food. Great music.  Great weather.  Great tan. And Great company 😉

Oh!  And I got my Senegalese Twists put in for the summer!  Bigger than the last time, but I love them!  And hopefully it won’t take so dreadfully long to take them out in two months…lol.  Can’t wait to have fun styling these twists and sharing updates on my hair with you guys…but more on that to come later.

Did you guys have a great weekend?  I hope so!  Now my work week begins so pray church! lol.

Until next time….

Love and God Bless!

The Hymn Challenge 2013!

Hey guys!  So you guys know how much I love music and singing and Jesus lol.  Well, when I found out that my friend Larwin (check out his YouTube channel HERE) started this challenge called “The Hymn Challenge 2013” I was super excited and definitely wanted to participate.  I shared a video of me singing “God Will Take Care of You” that I uploaded probably 2 years ago not thinking that I’d have time to record and upload anything new BUT where there’s a will, there’s a way and God provided that way for me to share again!

The hymn that I decided to sing to participate is Hymn #485 (as you’ll see in the video, I definitely forgot the number…shame shame shame) “I Must Tell Jesus”.  It’s one of my all time favorites.  Find out why by checking out the video below then later, find out how to participate in The Hymn Challenge 2013!

So if you love hymns as much as Larwin and I do, here’s how you can participate!

#1.  Check out THIS VIDEO for instructions on how to participate.
#2.  Join the Facebook group linked HERE.
#3.  Upload your video and share your hymn story!

I can’t wait to see what hymns you all select and as always thanks for stopping by the blog!  Stay tuned for tomorrow’s reveal of my 25th Birthday outfit winner chosen by you guys!
