Dressed To A T #69: Cobalt Blue

Romans 12:2 (KJV) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

This weekend I was feeling really happy and just full of joy….

I had Sabbath off so I spent it with some of my friends in New Jersey  and went to church and just had an overall great day.  In planning what to wear, I was definitely influenced by blue skies.  That’s how joyful I felt….

I couldn’t decide what shoes to wear so like I usually do I put it out to the social media universe.

It was a tight race but the nude strappy sandals won.  And here’s the resulting look 🙂

Cobalt blue blouse – Target / White embroidered pencil skirt – H&M / Nude strappy sandals – Charlotte Russe

Definitely one of my favorite outfits…

Have a great rest of the week you guys and thanks for stopping by the blog!

Dressed To A T #68: MAXImizing Fall

Hey guys!  It has definitely been a busy past few weeks.  But got some time over this weekend to do a couple of blog posts.

Now one of my friends suggested that with my outfit posts I share one of my favorite Bible verses or even just an inspirational thought.  Which is exactly what I needed.  I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to re-incorporate the lifestyle portion of this: my personal style and lifestyle blog.  I do love fashion and beauty but there’s definitely more to me (and this blog) than that, and I want to continue finding new ways to incorporate various parts of me into the blog. So! Here goes!

Matthew 11:28 (KJV) “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Yesterday I was post-call and definitely EXHAUSTED from my 16-hr shift the night before.  I literally collapsed onto the bed and slept for I don’t even know how long.  I’m so glad that God wants to give us not only physical rest but emotional, mental, and spiritual rest when we most desperately need it as well…

I’d planned to get dressed up and go run some errands after my nap but…I just ended up making a lazy Monday out of it.  Got rest, cooked dinner, and played dress up for you guys here on the blog! lol

A few days ago one of my favorite bloggers, Krystal over at The Feisty Housedid a post featuring an outfit incorporating maxis into the fall and winter months, which I absolutely loved!  Not only was it a super cute outfit but it makes sense!  You might as well get the most out of all the pieces in your wardrobe that you can throughout the year.  So I put together a cozy outfit inspired by Krystal’s and voila.

Nude cropped sweater – Nordstrom Rack / Pale Peach Pleated Maxi Skirt – Forever21 / Nude strappy heels – Charlotte Russe

Even though I ended up not even going anywhere to run errands like I originally had planned I had fun playing dress up and it was a very relaxing post-call day.  Now to enjoy the rest of the work week 🙂

Love and God Bless,
